Are you coming to WCLDN alone and want to meet new people?

Meet new people at WordCamp London 2017

Earlier this year we had a great suggestion from an attendee about creating designated areas where those who have come to WordCamp London alone, and want to meet new people, can find each other and network.

If you’re someone who’ll be attending WordCamp London 2017 by yourself, or even if you’re with a group, we’ll have designated areas where you can make new connections throughout the following days and times:

Friday Volunteers Social

If you’re volunteering, you’ll have been invited to our Volunteers Social. This is a great way to meet all the other volunteers, speakers, MCs and organisers ahead of the event.  Find the ‘Hello!‘ sign inside our private room at Bounce, Farringdon. The social is really relaxed so we do still encourage you to walk around and say hello to others!

The social starts from 18.30 and will unite all our volunteers; that includes our speakers, MCs, organisers and the volunteers helping us on the ground throughout the event.

Saturday Dinner

Find the ‘Hello!‘ table in the dining area and help yourself to a seat! Anyone is welcome to sit down, but we’d like to reserve this table for those actively interested in meeting new people and those who are attending the event alone.

Saturday Event Social

After dinner, the party moves to The Rocket. We’ll have activities, games, drinks and music for everyone to enjoy, and a dedicated ‘Hello!‘ area (look for the sign!) where you can hang out and meet others.

Help us spread the word and let those who may be new to the community know there is a friendly space to meet others and say hello by sharing this post.
