Speaker submissions are closed! Here’s what happens next

And that’s a wrap! The Call for Speakers for WordCamp London are now closed.

A huge thank you to all of the brave applicants who took the time to submit ideas and topics, or encouraged friends and coworkers to do so.

If you applied, read on for what to expect and when you’ll hear back from us.

Accepted?

We are going over all of the excellent applications received, which is no small task. This year we are delighted to say we have 131 submissions, so our work is cut out!

We will get back to every applicant by 22nd January, so you will hear from us either way by email. In the meantime, here’s more information about how we support accepted speakers and what you can expect if you are accepted for 2017.

Didn’t get the ‘yes’ this time?

We’ve all been there. Not getting accepted to speak is not always about any one particular thing and it might have been a simple case of timing and capacity. We hope you will continue to chase down opportunities to share your WordPress knowledge at future meetups or WordCamp London 2018.

Volunteering opportunities, coming soon

Keep an eye out for our Call for Volunteers which will hit the road soon and if you have any questions about the application process, or concerns,  get in touch with us directly.
